To launch the 2011 Korean Film Festival in Australia for Sydney and Melbourne respectively, KOFFIA will be hosting an opening gala event that is much more than just watching a movie in a silent dark theatre.

Our opening GALA will feature drinks and Korean canapes for all guests to help generate a celebratory mood as we officially open KOFFIA 2011. Everyone who books for the opening session film is welcome to come along and enjoy the festivities, meet the organising team, mingle with our guests and be a part of the celebration.

Sydney’s Opening session will feature the recent crime hit The Unjust with the director Ryoo Seung-Wan and Producer Kang Hye-Jung attending as special guests for KOFFIA 2011. Director’s introduction and Q&A will be provided after the screening to answer all your questions! The session marks the start of 6 days of fun and festivities at Dendy Cinemas, Circular Quay, Sydney.

Melbourne’s Opening session will feature the sports drama, based on a true story, A Barefoot Dream. A landmark film, being the 1st ever KOFFIA film to screen in Melbourne!
